Target Will No Longer Sell Your Favorite Clothing Brands

All of your Mossimo and Merona shirts are about to become vintage pieces since Target is ditching some of its most well-known brands in an attempt to refresh its clothing and design offerings to compete with companies like Amazon, according to the Wall Street Journal. This is sad news for Target addicts nationwide! The corporation has already started replacing their popular clothing lines, such as swapping out the Cherokee and Circo kid's lines with Cat & Jack, as well as the Art Class brand. Target plans to introduce more than 12 new brands that you can only get from them.

Target's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Mark Tritton, stated that "Our new brands are all about the changing face of our guests- what they need, what they're looking for from Target. When we took a close look at our existing assortment with this in mind, we saw a disconnect."

Overall, more than half of Target's clothing and accessories lines and more than one third of its home décor lines will be changed in the next two years! It looks like your closet, like the stores, might be getting a much needed upgrade shortly.
